Sinopsis:
George y Andy son una pareja de policías británicos. El primero es el veterano y el segundo el novato que intenta aprender todo de él. Unos delincuentes comunes asesinan a uno de ellos. Un crimen que no puede quedar impune.
El director Basil Dearden estuvo nominado gracias a El farol azul, al León de Oro en la edición del Festival de Venecia de 1960.
