This film - a retiring collage - mixes extracts from William Klein's feature films, his documentaries, his news and fashion photographs, his costume drawings (made by his wife Jeanne), his tv ads and even the first shooting inside the backstage of haute couture: Yves Saint Laurent's premieres.
William Klein comments his artistic path, evoques his In and Outs with fashion, but also the In and Outs within the perception of his work.
Seeing the renowned interest in all facets of his work, his innovations and influences are today totally "in".
Specs:
Original source was NTSC and MONO. It has 2 audio tracks, both with the sound of each footage plus a director's commentary in french (track 1) and english (track 2). This is the way the film is. Subs seem to be french for english parts, and english for french parts (besides the commentary, i mean). I went for the 1/3 of a dvd size due to dificult source (a mix of various different sources).
