Mensaje por auess » Mar 23 Dic, 2003 14:20

I copied this little videotape from a friend of mine. it's named "Sounds and Imageries: select astonishing underground short films vol.1". it's a selection including 12 amazing indie shorts from various countries, all of them are non-narrative experimental film, but with hallucinatory, dizzying imageries and some dreamlike, enigmatic musics. So, they're all visionary, no dialogue, no plot, u dont need anything just feeling them.
Specs:
Length: 43 min
Size: 507Mb
320*240
video codec: Divx5.5, 136kbps
Frame rate: 15/s, 24
Audio codec: PCM, 768kbps, 16(stereo) (chose the best codec cause their beautiful sounds, though a little big size but worth, u will hear  )

 i'll share them one by one, and will update my post.

Traction (1999)
Creator: Dustin Byerley and Visionary Sound Labs (us)
Length: 3:50
A film was made for the group Visionary Sound Labs in early 1999. Portraying the often mysterious dimensions of the mind. It was entirely shot on location in Malibu, CA. This film features scenes in the Malibu mountains all the way to the beach. It has a blown-out scratchy film look and features a really great trippy song.

A Haiku Setting (2000)
Creator: Richard Lainhart (us)
Length: 2:50
An ambient animation of a nature poem by Joso. "A Haiku Setting" illustrates the writing of Joso, using an original English translation of the text as the source of imagery. Each line is illuminated with text animation. The soundtrack, a mix of scored music and environmental sound, is intended to create an atmosphere that reflects the calm, contemplative nature of the haiku.

The Light Under the Earth (2000)
Creator: Stephen Schieberl (uk)
Length: 4:45
Zen and the art of animation. Meditate on this illuminating work.
"The Light Under the Earth" is a short ambient journey through Earth... from surface to center. Based on a series of digital paintings, conceived in a dream. An excerpt from Steve Roach and Vidna Obmana's "Somewhere Else" was very slowly faded across the project to accompany this inward journey.

Thanks again, auess!!
I think I saw "A haiku setting" in a TV program. Nice short...

To trep: 50 files!! :juas: I wish I had that few. There´s a lot of interesting material out there. That, and a lousy ADSL connection, makes a lethal combination

Thanku.
actually i know your forum through a friend of fileheaven.org, he said there has a selection for experiment/art films, i'm really happy cause the things i saw are really rare, underground, few people knows, and most of them are really hard to find. :D but absolutely they are the most unique gems in filmworld. i think i've already sweet on this place. (despite my blind spaish.)
of course i'm in beijing, china. i'm not from heaven..

ok... the reason for my 'beijing question' was that i were told that all chinese internet traffic were exhaustively controlled and filtered, and i am surprised because you have access to the eMule network.

THx again for these two new links. I was thining that, looking at your 58 posts, most of 'em are for posting new links. This is what I call being productive. Most of my posts are only chit-chat and sevaral opinions but few e-links. I think everyone should be like you, being me the first to do that change. Thx.

I only downloaded Edgeways.
But I have the same problem as you, not with Unrest, but with Rude Roll and Pandorama. I see full sources sometimes, but I can´t download a single byte.

If you have them, please keep them shared with release priority for a few days.
Thx a lot. :)
