Hello everyone

This short is dedicated to all those who releasing particular mazing animations recently, especially Gilliam and Seiyuro Hiko. Here is my small contribution.


Gifted by Emily Mantell is an autobiographical animation about the animator's own childhood and her struggles to overcome childhood learning dificulties such as dyslexia. It is drawn in a deliberately crude way, using chalk on a blackboard in a parody of school classrooms of the past, but explains the mental torment of the child in a way no realistic drawing style could. This is a powerful and moving animation, well worth watching.

No dialogues, but there are a few English words on screen.
