SINOPSIS:
Biografía del director George Stevens por su hijo. Incluye clips de muchas de sus películas con comentarios de los actores y de directores como Frank Capra, John Huston y Alan Pakula, entre otros. También se incluyen las "películas caseras" de guerra de Stevens, que solo se encuentran después de su muerte. Asignado por Eisenhower para filmar la guerra en Europa, Stevens aprovechó la oportunidad para producir, al mismo tiempo, el único metraje en color jamás filmado en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Hay una película impresionante del Día D y sus secuelas; la marcha triunfal por París de los libertadores aliados; y los horrores indescriptibles de Dachau. Esto es lo que pudo haber hecho Goya con una cámara de cine. En un nivel más mundano hay un segmento sobre el intento encubierto de Cecil B. DeMille en 1950 de expulsar a Joseph L.
