Os dejo un documental sobre la grabación de una BSO. En éste caso de The River Wild del maestro Jerry Goldsmith:

A monumental documentary centred around the recording sessions of "The River Wild". Featuring contributions of directors such as Paul Verhoeven, Richard Donner, Franklin J. Schaffner and Curtis Hanson. This 71 minutes long document of time, gives a an inside look into the craftsmanship of one of the worlds most respected composers. From his childhood to the Oscar ceremony of 1976, and from his radio days to the his latest soundtracks, it's all part of this skilfully created biography directed by Fred Karlin. The bonus material features the extended footage of the scoring sessions of "The River Wild", and extended interviews with Bruce Botnick, Alexander Courage, Arthur Morton and many more. All together, a more than 3 hour feast for eyes and ears.!

I've used DVDShrink 3.2 to rip this dvd. The original size of all the material was about 7.3GB. With DVDShrink I've reduced the size to 4.3GB so that it can be burned to a single layered dvd. However, although the size is much smaller than the original, the quality is nevertheless still excellent. I've made a copy for me self to check, and it is perfect.

How to burn the DVD

Extract the archive (starting with part 1, than part 2 & 3 will follow automatically).
Start Nero. Select DVD / DVD-Video.
Edit the label name of the DVD to "JERRY_GOLDSMITH".
Put the "AUDIO_TS" and the "VIDEO_TS" folders in the recording window.
And hit the Burn button.

Gracias por el aviso, Locutus. Tenía esto fatal grabado en un VHS que por fin voy a jubilar.

(Supongo que será el mismo... en el mío a parte de Río Salvaje, había fragmentos de La profecía y de algunas otras de Goldsmith...)

Maravilloso este documento póstumo. No tenía ni idea que existiera este DVD.
