This strange sexploitation stares super cute Christina Lindberg of the "Thriller" fame, as a young girl who rent a apartment together with a girlfriend, so they can explore their sexuality and maybe have a three way with one of them's boyfriend. They fall under a spell of a female toymaker (with a very funny voice) who use them in some pantomime kind sex games, guided by a tape recorder. Lots of twisted and perverse sexual fantasies is brought to life by girls in creepy clown make up. This have been filmed in Sweden with a English script. The dialog is at times impossible to understand, but with the rather hilarious script it don't harm much. What could have ended as some unredeemable crap, end up being a stylish and very fascinating avant garte flick. Christina Lindberg do it good, as usual she totally steal the picture. Joe Sarno did plenty to make his trashy softcore flicks interesting for the art house crowd, "Young Playthings" is a part of his "Scandinavian ritualistic sex" style and should be one of his best.

Some months ago a rip of this rare Sarno film appeared on emule. Although it's not complete, many user still share the single chunks.
