Here are three short clips from Willy Tsao and the Hong Kong City Contemporary Dance Company. These people are very interesting (modern dance + pop-culture + Chinese history), but it seems impossible to get hold of any recordings of their performances. I've been lucky enough to see them live.
Willy Tsao runs two more dance troupes in China (in Guangzhou and Beijing) and maintains artistic contacts with the acclaimed independent director Zhang Yuan and the "father of Chinese rock'n'roll" Cui Jian. I've recently stumbled upon a Taiwanese web-store that seems to be selling VCDs of the Beijing Modern Dance Company performances (http://www.hivideos.com/CHINA-2.htm, look for 北京現代舞團), but I haven't been able to check them out. In any case, I hope the works of these remarkable artists will gradually become available and appreciated.
