Awesome, a new one from Sogo Ishii. Looks slow and dreamy, so ADD kids...
A 40-minute short made for the Jeonju International Film Festival in South Korea by maverick director Sogo Ishii. Following on from 2003's Dead End Run, Ishii's second foray into digital cinema is more in the contemplative vein of his 90s work but without the occasional intrusions of violence. Miwako Ichikawa plays an emotionally distraught actress who awakes to find herself mysteriously transplanted from the tumult of Tokyo to a placid tropical beach. Very much looking forward to a feature-length work from Ishii in the near future.
Digital Short Films by Three Filmmakers:
Influenza by Bong Jun-ho (Memory of Murder, Barking Dogs Never Bite) catalogues the downward spiral of Cho Hyuk-rae who is perched atop the Han River bridge and has been captured by security cameras. Ishii Sogo (Electric Dragon 80,000V, Labyrinth of Dreams) contributes Mirrored Mind, in which an actress writing a script experiences a blurring of reality and fiction within her own life. Dance Me to the End of Love by Yu Lik Wai (All Tomorrow’s Parties, Love Will Tear Us Apart) is a silent film with a sci-fi undertone in which Plasticity suffers from the big chill. Extreme cold prevents any human existence in this atmosphere and the story is built around Kirin – the doorkeeper of an underground hostel in this hostile environment who earns his living by collecting emptied beer cans.

(South Korea) Bong Joon-Ho's "Influenza" is the most dynamic of the highly individualistic panels making up this triptych, while Yu Lik-Wai's "Dance With Me to the End of Love" is the most stylish and Ishii Sogo's "Mirrored Mind" the most beautiful. Each of these minimalist dramas has its weaknesses, to be sure, but those are easily outweighed by its strengths. Who says filmmakers need money?

(unlucky it's no english subs, only cn and jp subs, but if you like, I'm willing to share for sure. Later I'll put the other 2 shorts "Influenza" and "Dance Me to the End of Love" on mule, "Dance Me to the End of Love" is really FANTASTIC!

Thanks!!

Could anyone finished please reshare this!??? I remember I checked the mule when I left, there're already finished sources exist at that time...
Sorry faeton I can't reshare this one cause I've deleted it from my hd a couple of days ago, cause my hd is not very big and I need more free space to download big files at that time...
You could hold on this for a while to see if anybody finished can reshare it, or later I'll re-rip it and share again, or just tell me the exactly periods of time you still missing, and I'll only rip that 2 chunks and share, then you can use virtualdub to cut and append them together easily.
Sorry again...

Just got the last chunks - so now I have it complete. I'll keep it shared for -let's say- a week,
so don't wait any longer

Oooh, well, I'm constantly listening to songs in languages I don't understand a word of,
because, as they say, "
music is an universal language" blah blah... So isn't moving pictures
an
universal language as well?

I've been wondering for a while about our obsession
with words when it comes to cinema.
