Carole Contant, French actress, writer and filmmaker.
Born near Angouleme. She is living now in a parisian suburb. Since childhood she was interested in writing and cinema. After her bachelor she started her film studies in the Paris 3 University. She directed then the short film "Blue memory"which was completed in 1997 and was screened in many festivals as well as in the CinéCinéCourt canal. Before that film Carole Contant directed six amateurish videos screened in some independant events in France and elsewhere. She has written in the 101 magazine. In 1999 she completed her film "Passage à 4 temps" and began working as a production assistant for the company Issey Miyake Europe. In 2000 she completed her super 8 film "La vaisselle" with a little help from the Comité des Petits Films. she also writed and starred in "Nos Stars" (2002), a nice fantasy made by another famous french avant-grade filmmaker Maurice Lemaitre. and now she is preparing a feature film now and an actor training with Mim Massée and Bruno Nuytten.
