Pues aquí está el enlace a la película letrista de Isidore Isou. A pesar del formato (mp4) visible bien con el Vlc o Quicktime, de que en IMDB pone que dura dos horas y esta dura hora y dieciocho minutos, que la calidad no es muy buena... etc, etc, etc. Creo que merece mucho la pena el visionado de esta película para comprender lo escandalizados que de berían de quedar los burgueses de la época ante su visionado. Fue presentada el 21 de abril de 1951 en el festival de Cannes. Es el primer ejemplo de "Cine Discrepante" como lo denominarian los letristas. El antisincronismo total o el montaje discrepante que rompe la unidad de las dos columnas de la película, el sonido y la imagen, presentadas como divergentes.
La agresiva voz en off, lo estrambótico del sonido de la poesía letrista recitada... Una gozada!!!

La Internacional Letrista

Este grupúsculo vanguardista se diluyó más tarde, junto a otros, en la Internacional Situacionista. Isou participó con su voz en la película de Debord "Aullidos por Sade". La pantalla permanecía oscura y solo se iluminaba cuando se hablaba. El tiempo más largo durante el cual la pantalla permanecía en negro era de veintitantos minutos...

Venom & Eternity, which legend has it was once far longer than its current 90 minutes, supposedly inspired a riot at Cannes. Be that as it may, Stan Brakhage saw the movie at an impressionable age and never forgot it: Venom & Eternity, he wrote, is a "portal through which every film artist is going to have to pass."
