SINOPSIS
Michael Armstrong es un científico norteamericano que actúa como si fuera un desertor de la Alemania Oriental para así poder descubrir información importante sobre la tecnología nuclear soviética. Pero su novia y secretaria Sarah Sherman le sigue tras el telón de acero contra su voluntad. SYNOPSIS
While traveling by ship to a convention in Copenhagen, the reluctant Professor Michael Armstrong is pressed by his fiancée and assistant, Sarah Sherman, to discuss a possible schedule to their marriage. Later in the Hotel D' Angleterre, Sarah sees Armstrong receiving a plane ticket and he explains that he needs to go to Stockholm. However, the snoopy Sarah discovers that he is indeed flying to East Berlin with Professor Karl Manfred who is also attending the convention, so she decides to follow him.
COMENTARIO
Entretenida película sobre un científico que intenta escapar a Europa del Este durante la Guerra Fría. Hitchcock vuelve a conjugar su maestría con la comercialidad y, entre otras cosas, incluye uno de los asesinatos más atroces jamás filmados, en el que muestra la brutalidad de la muerte y recuerda que el homicidio no es una broma. El tema central es parecido al de otros de sus filmes, un individuo honesto se encuentra atrapado por circunstancias extrañas.
