Dos investigadores de psicología contratan los servicios de una prostituta y, mediante hipnosis, la envían al pasado con el objeto de registrar sus vivencias como bruja durante la Edad Media. Cuando los doctores se enteran del destino que le aguarda a la joven en el pasado, regresan al mismo periodo para intentar ayudarla y evitar que la ejecuten. Sin embargo, al eludir su propio destino, la joven altera irrevocablemente el curso de la historia. Las demás reencarnaciones, como la de la joven, sólo sucederán si la bruja muere primero.
Two psychical researchers procure the services of a lady of the night and send her back in time under hypnosis. She finds herself in the body of a past existence - a woman in medieval times waiting to be beheaded as a witch. By avoiding this fate she unwittingly starts to alter history.
