As Mike explained on KG:
mikeattacks escribió:
Last night RAI3's "Fuori Orario" late night show broadcasted what might be the holy grail of Paradjanov memorabilia: the complete unedited and uncut rushes of SAYAT NOVA aka THE COLOR OF POMEGRANATES.
For those wondering what rushes are, here's a definition I found online:
Dailies
AKA: Rushes
The first positive prints made from the negatives photographed on the previous day. During filming, the director and some actors may view these dailies as an indication of how the filming and the actors' performances are progressing.
We're talking about 240 minutes (yes, two-hundred and forty minutes!!!) of raw, uncut and mindblowing footage including hundreds of unseen scenes which where censored and/or non included in both films cuts available (the R1 US DVD and the Japanese DVD).
There's even an unexpected full-frontal female nude shot, plus hundreds of bloopers, some of which are hilarious - can you imagine Sofiko Chiaureli smiling?!!
I stayed up all night watching them agape. Truly memorable and fantastic.
[...]
So here they are, recorded and converted to XviD by yours truly.
I've exceptionally seeded them on KG first, so those of you who
have an account there can probably still find the torrent running.
Don't be silly and download this wonder
The files have
no audio track, obviously because rushes were silent.

Thanks very much, Trep.
It makes no difference what men think about war, said the Judge. War endures... War was always here. Before man was, War waited...
