SINOPSIS
La acción transcurre en la frontera de Bihar y Bengala, donde los hombres de negocios de Marwari (comunidad importante del dialecto Hindi, y que gozan de poca estima entre los empresarios de la India) y los Rajputs, de la casta del guerreros (de Rajasthán), están asentados. El personaje principal, Narsingh (Soumitra Chatterjee), es un Rajput desilusionado, que se emoborracha con frecuencia, es un Rajput reducido a taxista. Orgulloso y de fuerte temperamento, con una gran pasión por su Chrysler de los años 30.Narsingh se ofrece para transportar latas de mantequilla de búfalo para Sukhanram, comerciante sombrío, y se encuentra de repente metido en el tráfico de opio. Él tendrá que decidir si continúa con la actividad criminal para ganar dinero.
