SINOPSIS
[quote]The novel "Within 12 Hours" by the Norwegian writer Peter Valentin (a nom de plume of Waldemar Brøgger) was published in Stockholm in 1944 by Bonniers. Owing to the looming conflict between the Swedish government and the film industry over the entertainment tax, Svensk Filmindustri was keen to produce an internationally viable success in the form of a spy thriller. Herbert Grevenius was commissioned to write the screenplay, and Ingmar Bergman, "for financial reasons", undertook the task of directing. It turned out to be a painful experience all round.

Most reviews of the film were negative, but a number of critics were unsure whether they should take it seriously at all. The most generous of them was 'Robin Hood', writing in Stockholms-Tidningen, who was convinced that the people behind the film were having a joke. Grevenius and Bergman were serious men, so surely they could not, in all earnestness, produce something like this? The film, he assumed, must be a satire. Extraordinaria aportación a la filmo.
A Bergman siquiera hablar de esta película le ponía de mal humor.
No será la película que le represente sin duda.
Pero a partir de ahora cada segundo de celuloide que haya estado cercano a él cobra otro valor.
Aquel que le asignan la ausencia y la falta.

Bueno, los maestros tienen estas cosas. Dicen que cuando Ford dio el último claquetazo a su "Misión de audaces" dijo: "Bueno, ya hemos terminado otra mierda".

Y la acabo de re-ver, como homenaje a Bergman (sí, no os extrañéis: estaba tan triste que necesitaba ver algo así) y es una puta maravilla, llena de acción, humor, suspense, ternurismo, hombría de bien y con uno de los retratos femeninos más íntegros y cabales de la historia del cine (para que acusen de misógino al viejo Jack), así que cualquier mierda que lleve la firma del maestro de Farö (que aislada se habrá quedado la isla), se merece toda la consideración posible. Aunque él no estuviera de acuerdo.

Pues eso: que me la bajo. Que hoy es hoy. Un día más largo, porque es más triste.

Cualquier bergman no deja de ser imprescindible.

Y todavía estamos a tiempo de aprender sueco (o de hacernos los suecos...).
