Review by Thom Owens
Dig All Night follows in the direction of Lord of the Highway, finding Joe Ely concentrating on hard-kicking roots-rock and rockabilly. The country influences are now just flavoring, not the focal point, and that's not a bad thing, since Dig All Night is a lean, mean record that rocks harder than nearly any roots record of its era.
