Catherine Ginape is a french painter and video artist, sorry I cannot find any details on net about her works even french commentary (is she very unknown?), all I know is she works since many years on tales and myths from different civilizations (Polynesia, inuit, Siberia, etc.), but she also makes animation, and I think she do really made some amazing animations, very beautiful stuffs with some intense but excellent soundtracks. (I think it's better to call it "shadow animation".) here're three of her animations which I favorite most: La Cigogne Aux Pattes de Bois AKA The Wooden Legs Stork (2004), Tete de Bois, Conte Bantou AKA Hard headed, A Bantu Tale (2005) and Corrosion (2006), vcd mpg format, 17 mins.
