my new dvdrip, a film collection of Czech animator Garik Seko, including his 7 shorts made between 1976-1988. Very neat gems for all animation lovers.

kratkyfilm reviews

Content:

O Mistru Hanušovi 1976 (13 min)
One of the film stories based on the old Prague legends. This one is about the old master clock maker Hanus who construed the Prague Old Town horologe. Master Hanus'clock started working for the first time in 1490 but did not tell the time for too long. Soon the master, blinded by the perfidious town councillors, stopped it for more than 200 years.

Faustuv Dum 1977 (12 min)
A film story based on the old Prague legends. It tells about a poor student lured by wealth, which he prefers to knowledge. In the end, he sells his soul to the evil powers. The Devil takes him to hell and since then there is a blackened hole on the ceiling of a Prague house.

Ex Libris 1982 (10 min)
Books, often called the best friends of a man, are the only actors of this film. They act in a story about themselves and people who write them but also about us who buy and read them.

Shoe-show Aneb Botky Majì Prě 1984 (11 min)
The actors of this melodrama about adultery and hijacking are shoes of different types, sizes and shapes that met in a shoe repair shop. The film wants to celebrate the modesty and inner beauty of those who really help and condemn those who claim credit for others.

No, Pane Kaktus 1986 (13 min)
Muj Kamárad Tiká 1987 (11 min)
Vylez Zbabělce 1988 (12 min)

total 86 min. Divx 1200kbit/s, mp3 112kbps, quality is ok.
