Sinopsis: NEAR DEATH is a film about the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Boston's Beth Israel Hospital. The film is concerned with how people face death. More specifically the film presents the complex interrelationships among patients, families, doctors, nurses, hospital staff and religious advisors as they confront the personal, ethical, medical, psychological, religious and legal issues involved in making decisions about whether or not to give life-sustaining treatment to dying patients.

Wiseman mantiene la exclusiva de la comercialización de la mayor parte de sus películas y los DVD editados por Zipporah Films no traen subtítulos (que yo sepa). Por su fuera poco, el puñetero de Fred ha cedido todos los negativos originales a la Biblioteca del Congreso de los EE.UU. con la condición de que nunca (ni ahora ni después de su muerte) se utilicen como material de archivo para otros documentales.
Por tanto, de momento sólo tenemos Titicut Folies (DvdRip + subs en castellano), Law and Order (TvRip VOSE), además de State Legislature (SatRip + subs para sordos en inglés) y Central Park (VhsRip VOSIta).
