Bill Maher is one of the most politically astute humorists in America today. END CREDITS : As we mark the third anniversary of President Bush's now infamous "Mission Accomplished" speech, I really have to give end credits to former President George H.W. Bush and, reluctantly, Leni Riefenstahl. After the first Gulf War, our current president's dad took a lot of flak for not chasing the Iraqi army and taking out Saddam when we had the chance. In his memoirs, Elder Bush argued that if "We had gone the invasion route, the U.S. could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land." Sound familiar? In the 1930s, a misguided or just plain stupid Leni Riefenstahl utilized the medium of film to portray the evil power and brutality of the Nazi Regime and Adolf Hitler in her documentary "Triumph of the Will." Riefenstahl portrayed a horrific movement to the fullest, chilling effect. So, as we enter our fourth year of war, I'd like to say two things to President Bush: First, you should have listened to your dad's prediction before jumping to claim that the mission in Iraq was accomplished. And second, your beautiful little propaganda stunt on that aircraft carrier couldn't make the truth of your wrongness disappear."

Acting legend Jeff Bridges has starred in numerous films, including "The Big Lebowski," "The Fabulous Baker Boys," "Seabiscuit," and "The Last Picture Show."

ROLLINS RECONSIDERS : Revisting the Blackberry craze.
MUSICAL GUEST : Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Ben Harper released his debut album in 1994 and has established himself as one of the world's most versatile and hard-working musicians.
END CREDITS : As the "West Wing" ends its seven-season run and we lose the only truly political dramatic series on TV right now, I feel like I have to give some end credits to Garry Trudeau and Frank Capra. This year marks the 36th anniversary of Garry Trudeau's "Doonesbury," a comic strip of wryly funny political and social commentary. Mixing fictional and real-life politicians, "Doonesbury"...illustrated the point that politics could be entertaining. Frank Capra's best known for his 1939 film "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington," a tale of an idealistic junior senator battling the entrenched corruption of our great capitol. This was one of the first movies to show in detail the inner workings of Congress as part of the main plot. So, as "The West Wing" retires...it's important to remember that without political entertainment, a lot of Americans would never, ever turn their attention to the important issues of the day."

MUSICAL GUEST : Singer-songwriter Aimee Mann, the former frontwoman for '80s post-new wave pop group 'Til Tuesday, has released five solo albums and received an Academy Award nomination for her song "Save Me" on the "Magnolia" soundtrack.
END CREDITS : As everybody celebrates Mother's Day, I need to give end credits to Cindy Sheehan and Julia Ward Howe. Although her message has become muddled in the months since her original protest, we can't forget that Cindy Sheehan was first and foremost a mother who lost her soldier son to the Iraq war. By taking a stand outside President Bush's Texas dude ranch, Sheehan became the living personification of the frustration and rage that so many Americans felt at Bush's poorly planned, ideology-fueled war. Julia Ward Howe is best known, if she's known at all, for penning the Civil War-era "Battle Hymn of the Republic." Sick of the inhumanity of war, Howe spread the idea of a "Mother's Day for Peace," a day that she hoped would celebrate the inherent peacefulness of mothers and perhaps lead to female solidarity in the face of war and violence. Her version of Mother's Day never really took root and instead America got a Hallmark holiday of exchanging cheaply sentimental cards. So this holiday, as you dial your mom long distance, think about all the soldiers' mothers who won't be getting calls and remember that there's one man who's ultimately responsible. Don't forget to tell Barbara "Hi" for me, Dubya.
