CosmoVitelli en KG[quote]Jodorowsky's first film, adapted from Thomas Mann's "The Transposed Heads - A Legend of India in Paris". This short film was considered lost for 50 years, until its discovery in a German attic in 2006.
Jodorowsky himself still hasn't made up his mind what he thinks of his directorial debut:
"It is about a girl who sells heads. She changes the heads of a poetical guy and a boxer. You will be disappointed by it, because it was made by an amateur. I had no experience. Maybe that's good. I don't know. I'm not ashamed of how I did it. You can see I was already a director. It is well made. No money, but well made. It is good to finally have it. This picture was a fable done in mime. I think it was good because Cocteau liked it so much".
Jean Cocteau wrote the film's introduction, and his involvement gave "La Cravate" the bohemian stamp of approval and encouraged Jodorowsky's longterm cinematic aspirations.
