Here are six more shorts by Vladimir Kobin released at fonarik.tv. As the claim is, part 2.4 is not missing, but is in fact La homo paradoksuma (released previously as 1.3 rather than 2.4). An amusing feature of these shorts is that those made as actual science education films are extremely similar to those which were driven exclusively by artistic pursuits... Russian without subtitles...

No. But, as it was explained here, Kobrin developed his style while working at the Soviet Central Studio for Science Education Films (Centr-Nauch-Film). His early films (like The Subject-Matter of Biophysics and Chemical Transport through the Cell Membrane) display an opening caption, which states that they have been approved by the Ministry of Education for use as instructional material. (Such educational shorts were routinely shown on the Soviet TV and they were in fact contributing tremendously to the natural science interest among children.)

However, even those official science education films made by Kobrin interpret the genre very freely, and the transition to the later more personal works is extremely smooth. On the other hand, his backgrounds in science education cinema are very evident throughout his body of work (both in terms of style and in the choice of subject-matter). This applies to La homo paradoksuma as well...

Thanks for the answer :D
Can't wait to check these new shorts ^_^
No. But, as it was explained here,
Just checked that thread, and i remembered about that "funeral parade of roses" trailer ... truth is that i'm still wondering how you did ... or how many times you saw it in order to realize that picture ( the last one you posted ) ...

harder to understand is how matsumoto decided to throw these type of sceneries throught a "humble" trailer ... i'd even say that any average "filmmaker" would make an entire movie ( mass appealing fillers included of course ) out of three scenes like the ones included there ^_^

Anyways, thank you again for posting this here ;)

Bueno, paso a traducir Vladimir.Kobrin.-.2.5.-.The.subject-matter.of.biophysics.(1982).DVDRip-maratt.avi al castellano. Cuando tenga listo los subtítulos, los posteo.

Un saludo ;-)
