Watching the time-worn super-8 family footage from a distant war-torn Europe for the first time some years ago
had an hypnotizing effect on this boy. Then "Nocturne" is a short, dedicated to the 3 main cities in the Balkans;
the first two episodes are modern footage stolen with a DV camera, the third, Zagreb, is a slowed down clip
from some ancient movie, and it has the beauty of a Degas.
THE MOVIES ARE SILENT, so no subs are needed.
