Películas basadas en H.P. Lovecraft [24/08/2006]

Hola:

Para empezar, decir que a mi personalmente, lo que mas me gusta de Lovecraft es la serie de los sueños, con las aventuras oníricas de Randolf Carter, la parte menos "horror" y mas "fantasía". Por la parte "gótica" no me refiero a algo tan burdo como la sangre, ausente en su obra, reemplazada por una atmósfera lúgrubre y obscura, impregnada de miasmas ancentrales, donde el canto de la chotacabra anuncia la entrada a un mundo de pesadilla.

"Basarse en" o "Inspirarse en"

Ese es el punto de debate, por el que he iniciado esta charla o debate (no discusión). "Basado en" es la adaptación, mas o menos libre, de un relato o novela llevada al cine, mientras que "inspirado en" es cualquier cosa que diga el director, el guinista, el crítico de cine, o el que ve la peli en que se inspiraron para hacerla.

En esta filmo, las obras "Basadas en" son lo suficientemente numerosas y variadas, sin necesidad de incluir directamente obras "inspiradas en". En el enlace al imsb que te puse, aparecen 50 películas (por cierto no las que yo no incluiría).

Pero te ofrezco una idea sobre como podemos compatibilizar ambos puntos de vista (y de paso no quitas las pelis de CF que tanto me gustan). Como tengo que cambiar el esquema de la filmografía por el habitual en DivxClásico pues lo haré entonces. Y ya de paso añadiré las películas cuyos enlaces no he encontrado por si alguien las tiene o encuentra.
Además, he encontrado varias cosas más ("The Crimson cult" en inglés, "El morador de las tinieblas" en español, "The forgotten diary of Lovecraft" en inglés y el trailer del corto (algo es algo) "El superviviente", en español.

Buenas de nuevo. Ya he actualizado la lista y la he dividido (tenía dudas con varias, como Evil dead, pero bueno...).
Como no he encontrado información referente a "El morador de las tinieblas" (ni en la página de Nosologore, que es de donde pone que proviene), pues de momento no la añado; así mismo, a la espera de descargar y combrobar qué es "The forgotten diary of Lovecraft", la dejo sin poner.

Sobre el debate de La Cosa sí, La Cosa no, en la original de Hawks-Nyby (El enigma de otro mundo), me quiere sonar (cito de memoria) que en el hielo, que sí se ve en esa versión, se ven las cabezas en forma de pentágono y alguna cosa más de ese tipo, que parece que podría vincularla a "En las montañas de la locura".

Por otra parte un dato, "Miedo en la Ciudad de los Muertos Vivientes", se llamó "La Paura" en V.O. y en España también se editó como "Entrada al Infierno".

Y, finalmente, quizás un añadido: ¿Qué tal el "Príncipe de las Tinieblas" de Carpenter como inspirada?, lo digo porque creo que hay una cercanía notable a ciertas ideas.

Se ve el cuerpo completo del alien, de forma perfectamente humanoide. Las analogías entre ambos son que llegan en avión al lugar, que están en el polo, que el ser es descongelado y está vivo, y que matan a todo el que pueden.

Pero no son pentágonos, triángulos ni pirámides, ni están en montañas, ni en un valle oculto, ni hay mas de un ser. Es una invasión alienígena en toda regla, nada de arcanos.

Si buscamos similitudes, las hay a millones en montañas de pelis, por ejemplo "IT!, the terror form beyond the space", nave espacial, lugar cerrado, imposible huir. Y estirando mucho, "El Alamo", miedo, lugar cerrado, imposible la huida.

En Amazon dicen cosas muy interesantes sobre The Call Of Cthulhu. Parece que está realmente bien.

He corregido los dos primeros mensajes porque uno, el primero, superaba el límite de caracteres por mensaje y se deformaba todo el aspecto del foro. Pasé unas cuantas fichas de la primera tanda al segundo mensaje respetando la división "temática" que había. A la última ficha de la primera parte le faltaban etiquetas y datos, queda algo cortada.
Aproveché y metí espacios entre tablas para que no quedaran pegadas unas a otras a la vez que algún enlace demasiado largo.
Si pasa algo parecido mandad un privado a algún moderador para que lo miren porque en este caso me he dado cuenta de que había un problema al entrar de casualidad.
