AMG SYNOPSIS: Martin Scorsese explores the life of organized crime with his gritty, kinetic adaptation of Nicolas Pileggi's best-selling Wiseguy, the true-life account of mobster and FBI informant Henry Hill. Set to a true-to-period rock soundtrack, the story details the rise and fall of Hill, a half-Irish, half-Sicilian New York kid who grows up idolizing the "wise guys" in his impoverished Brooklyn neighborhood. He begins hanging around the mobsters, running errands, and doing odd jobs until he gains the notice of local chieftain Paulie Cicero (Paul Sorvino), who takes him in as a surrogate son. AMG REVIEW: Seventeen years after revising the book on gangster movies in his breakthrough Mean Streets, Martin Scorsese returned to the netherworld of Italian-American organized crime with this stunningly ambitious, ferociously entertaining look at one man's rise and fall in a Mafia family. Shot and edited with a propulsive sense of rhythm that Gene Krupa would envy (this may be the fastest 150 minutes in film history), Goodfellas explores the 30-year career of Henry Hill (Ray Liotta) as a "mechanic" working for mob boss Paulie Cicero (Paul Sorvino). While most films about gangsters attribute their characters' criminal lives to greed or sociopathic behavior, Scorsese makes it clear Henry and his friends Jimmy Conway (Robert De Niro) and Tommy DeVito (Joe Pesci) are gangsters because they enjoy it: they like to steal, they enjoy violence, and their "work" allows them to profit from these qualities, which would be a hindrance in nearly any other career. However, while the film offers a point-blank look at New York's criminal underworld from the '50s to the '80s, Scorsese also uses this story as a unusual but clear moral fable. Completamente de acuerdo, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que el ripeo va sobrado de bitrate (2.304 kbps) y ya cuenta con un peso "respetable" (2,76 Gb.).
De todas formas, la mayor pega que le pondría al ripeo de TFL es el AR [1136x640 = 1.78]
La etiqueta se la he puesto yo por mi cuenta y riesgo), ya que se parece más a un 720p que a cualquier otra cosa.

PD. A los "mkv rippers", cada vez los entiendo menos.

De todas formas, la mayor pega que le pondría al ripeo de TFL es el AR [1136x640 = 1.78]

El AR está bien, ya sabemos que los 1:85 que etiquetan siempre son más falsos que Judas. El AR de la película es 1.77-1.78 un 16/9. El AR de las ediciones en DVD es de 1.80, ocurre que como ya he comentado muchas veces el 1.85 es contando las barritas laterales que a la hora de ripear se quitan porque ir pa ná es tontería.
En dvdbeaver comparan las ediciones en DVD y Bluray y si cropeais las capturas (quitando la banda negra a los lados) vereis que el AR está bien, 1.8 o algo menos en el DVD y el 1.78 del Bluray.

Ocurre que al ripear en Xvid y perder la realidad rectangular de los píxeles (que si se guarda con el x264) puede llevar a equívocos con los AR, pero teniendo capturas del DVD el tema está claro, cropeas y te sale clavadito el real.

Fijaros en la siguiente captura (1280x718) , pero tiene bandas negras por lo que la resolución buena sería algo menor.

Aún así, creo que el bitrate para nada va holgado (son 2'5 h. orgasmáticas).

Parece claro el tema, o el BDRip va sobradete que viendo el resto de datos pienso que está bien o a este le faltará algo de chicha. De hecho ya puestos a hablar a ojo y tirando algún cálculo por encima de este ripeo para ir a iguales parámetros que el BDRip debería tener 2,5 veces el bitrate que tiene. (La cuenta es fácil de sacar con las resoluciones). No obstante he buscado alguna fuente de las que habitualmente pillo estos bicharracos y vualá podemos confirmar la teoría:
