The story is set almost entirely in a Saigon house where a 10-year-old orphan girl named Mui arrives to work as a servant. As she grows into a beautiful young woman, Mui is quietly and carefully observant of everything around her, from the scent of green papaya (hence the title) to the relationship between her employers. esa pelicula la vi hace muchos años en el cine es bellisima, aunque me gusto mas la traducción del titulo aca en Chile; "El aroma de la papaya verde" creo que conserva mas el concepto de sutileza que tiene toda la pelicula.
Una gran fotografia, colores maravillos, texturas inolvidables muy bella la pelicula.

Hace unos dias, encontre en la pagina de allzine un corto anterior a 'El olor de la papaya verde', de cuando Tran Anh Hung aun era estudiante en Francia y que fue proyectado en la Semana de la Critica de Cannes ese mismo anyo. A continuacion os dejo el elink para quien pueda estar interesado. (Es estranyo que Pedritus o Koki no os lo hubieran puesto ya
