La "trilogía vikinga" de Hrafn Gunnlaugsson es una curiosa muestra de cine histórico de aventuras basada en los esquemas del western y el cine de samurais, que tiene como referencias principales el cine de Kurosawa y el spaguetti-western de Sergio Leone [la "trilogía del dólar": Por un puñado de dólares (1964), La muerte tenía un precio (1965) y El bueno, el feo y el malo (1966)]. La primera entrega de la serie, El vuelo del cuervo, es un remake de Por un puñado de dólares (1964), remake a su vez de Yojimbo (Akira Kurosawa, 1961), inspirada en "Cosecha roja" de Dashiell Hammet.

Plot Synopsis from AMG

In this epic historical drama, set in the 10th century, a young Christian man is sent by his Scandinavian superiors to Iceland to assist in
the conversion of that island to Christianity. Young Askur is deeply in love with Embla, but he must leave for the remote realm of Iceland
on his mission before he can come back and make her his wife. There is much bad blood between those who follow the old ways and
those who follow the new, and a strong arm on the side of the Christians is warmly welcomed. This production drew on talent and funding
from all over Scandinavia and by local standards was a phenomenally expensive picture, costing around $7 million dollars to make; it did
not repay these costs during its Scandinavian release.

It's been years since I watched this. I've seen both the movie version and the TV series version. I cannot believe that this hasn't been
released on DVD or any other format. Hrafn Gunnlaugsson is an underrated Icelandic director who is the ONLY one that has even come
CLOSE to portraying anything that resembles authentic Viking culture and lifestyle. While the story of this movie is kind of similar to
Romeo and Juliet - two very young lovers very much in love but deemed unfit for each other and doomed because of high politics - it still
shows you what could be close to what culture was like in 11th century Scandinavia. YOu will get the shamans, the warriors, the
Christian influence on Pagan culture, the strong family ties, and of course, the ruggedness of Vikings. Throw away any movies you might
have that have Vikings in it and that might star Kirk Douglas, Antonio Banderas or Tim Robbins for that matter, and plead to someone that
has any influence in the TV or movie industry in Scandinavia to release this so it will get accessible to the general public.

Sólo hemos podido localizar en eMule este ripeo publicado en un foro ruso.
Hay un VHSRip de 1,36 Gb en VO con subtítulos incrustados en sueco en piratebay (torrent).
He buscado en la mula por el título en finlandés, sueco, inglés y castellano, pero no descarto que exista otras versiones. Tampoco hemos encontrado subtítulos.
Hay varios usuarios interesados por la trilogía aquí y en CC. Paciencia.

Son totalmente independientes; los personajes son distintos y las tramas no se siguen, el único nexo es que transcurren todas en la Islandia de la era vikinga.

Estoy bastante interesado en esta peli (tengo las otras dos de la trilogía) y se me ha quedado sin fuentes el archivo de 1,99 GB a falta de unos 200 megas para completarse (bueno hay una única fuente, y la tiene completa, pero está siempre en modo "cola llena").

¿Me puede ayudar alguien a completarla?
