Yo acabo de hacer mi primer ripeo en flac y está tirado

1) Con el EAC creas una imágen cue + wav gordo
2) Con el flac conviertes ese wav a flac

lo metes todo en un rar, agitas, y sirves en copa larga

el flac instala unos codecs, además, que permiten grabarlo con el nero, sin tener que descomprimirlo a wav otra vez, y, sino, con el burrrn, que va de perlas

con el flac level 6 (la configuración por defecto) puedes dejar el wav en un 25% de su tamaño original

aunque sea lossless, programas como winamp te muestran el bitrate, la media o el que está leyendo mientras reproduce. generalmente suele ser de 600-800 kbps para un ape y para un flac ahora no lo sé

Poniendo el de Lonnie Johnson un rato oscilaba entre 250-450 (en los momentos "complejos" en los que había voz y guitarra a la vez) ... claro que es una grabación de los años 20 de voz y guitarra, voy a hacer pruebas con la cajita de B.B., los difrentes niveles y esas cosas

pues fíjate que entonces mp3 a 320 kbps te da casi la misma calidad de sonido

Pero el mp3 tengo que convertirlo a cd para oírlo en el volvo, y es un engorro

Make no mistake, Willie & the Poor Boys is a fun record, perhaps the breeziest album CCR ever made. Apart from the eerie minor-key closer "Effigy" (one of John Fogerty's most haunting numbers), there is little of the doom that colored Green River. Fogerty's rage remains, blazing to the forefront on "Fortunate Son," a working-class protest song that cuts harder than any of the explicit Vietnam protest songs of the era, which is one of the reasons that it hasn't aged where its peers have. Also, there's that unbridled vocal from Fogerty and the ferocious playing on CCR, which both sound fresh as they did upon release. "Fortunate Son" is one of the greatest, hardest rock & rollers ever cut, so it might seem to be out of step with an album that is pretty laid-back and friendly, but there's that elemental joy that by late '69 was one of CCR's main trademarks. That joy runs throughout the album, from the gleeful single "Down on the Corner" and the lazy jugband blues of "Poorboy Shuffle" through the great slow blues jam "Feelin' Blue" to the great rockabilly spiritual "Don't Look Now," one of Fogerty's overlooked gems. The covers don't feel like throwaways, either, since both "Cotton Fields" and "The Midnight Special" have been overhauled to feel like genuine CCR songs. It all adds up to one of the greatest pure rock & roll records ever cut.

Hola, de nuevo. He estado haciendo mis experimentos con gaseosa, flac y ape y, francamente, creo que el ape, con tamaños y bitrates muy, muy similares, se oye mejor. Las pruebas las hice con este extraordinario LP de 1960 de B.B. King, y como está ya cocinadito, lo ofrezo. Sin portadas, como siempre. Se admiten donativos para que me compre un escáner. O un piso, ya puestos.

According to his biographer, Charles Sawyer, this is King's personal favorite among his recordings. Unlike most of his albums from this period (which are mostly collections of singles), this was recorded in one session and takes him out of his usual big-band setting, using only bass, drums, and piano for accompaniment. The result is a masterpiece: a sparse, uncluttered sound with nothing to mask King's beautiful guitar and voice. "You Done Lost Your Good Thing Now" (its unaccompanied guitar intro is a pure distillation of his style), "Mr. Pawn Broker," "Someday Baby" (R&B Top Ten, 1961), "Walkin' Dr. Bill," and a great version of "Drivin' Wheel" are highlights.
