Los temas de Dead Kennedys fueron principalmente políticos y sociales llenos de ironía y sarcasmo, en los que se criticaba al gobierno (por aquel entonces presidido por Ronald Reagan y sus secuaces, asi como el que llegaria a ser tambien presidente, George Bush). Las letras de los discos del grupo cayeron como bomba sobre una sociedad que no estaba aconstumbrada a que se le dijeran tantas verdades juntas y del modo tan caracteristico que tenia Biafra de escribir. Con todo esto el grupo se ganó la amistad de cantidad de gente entre ellos el conocido Frank Zappa pero también como no se ganó muchos enemigos.

Highlights include a lot of the bands more popular early songs like California Uber Alles, Kill The Poor, Holiday In Cambodia and their infamous cover of Elvis Presley’s Viva Las Vegas that is played far straighter than you might think.
Combining sinister sounding surf guitar with intelligent lyrics and politics, the Dead Kennedys left their mark on music that even the recent law suits between band members is unable to tarnish, and this DVD is a nice collection of material that should satiate most fans.

The Dead Kennedys' performance, June 1984, marked the closing of San Francisco's DMPO's on Broadway Avant-garde Theatre and Nightclub.
This is a must for Dead Kennedys fans. A complete concert, shot with four cameras, and yes - you can actually *hear* the music and vocals. The Dead Kennedys were headlining the last concert at the venerable San Francisco venue: On Broadway. The band and the fans are angry and sad that the On Broadway is closing, and you can feel the tension in the air. The band is tight, and Jello Biafra's theatrical performances get increasingly bizarre as the show progresses. All the stage diving audience members are as entertaining as the band!
Recorded on June 16, 1984. Includes performances of the following songs (in order): Police Truck, Hop With Jet Set, A Child and His Lawnmower, Religious Vomit, Do the Slag, Moral Majority, MTV Get Off the Air, Life Sentence, Jock-o-Rama, Goons Of Hazzard, Riot, Bleed For Me, Nazi Punks F*** Off, We've Got a Bigger Problem Now.
