Sinopsis: Manuela es una adolescente que es enviada a un rígido internado después de la muerte de su madre. Inspired by Christa Winsloe's play Gestern und Heute, Maedchen in Uniform is one of the most memorable and moving of the pre-Hitler German talkies. Hertha Thiele plays a new student in an exclusive girls' boarding school. Achingly lonely because she feels deserted by her family, Hertha keeps her distance from the rest of the girls. Persecuted for her solitary stance by principal Emilia Unda, Hertha is drawn to her sympathetic teacher Dorothea Wieck. What starts as a friendship blossoms into a romance. While public revelation of this relationship proves disastrous to both student and teacher, it is ultimately the unforgiving principal Unda who suffers most. Maedchen in Uniform was antiseptically remade in 1958, with some of the frankness but little of the honest eroticism of the original.

Maedchen In Uniform is one of those odd movies whose very existence -- and the attributes it displays -- place it almost completely outside of the era and attributes of the era in which it was made; in that regard, it stands alongside such unusual Hollywood movies as Joseph L. Mankiewicz's People Will Talk, Herbert Biberman's Salt Of The Earth, and Abraham Polonsky's Force Of Evil -- except that Maedchen In Uniform was the product of an even more repressive culture than 1950's America, made as it was in early 1930's Germany. And it was attacked in its time, though not for the lesbian-oriented, homo-erotic aspects of its story and visuals, but for being a critique of the educational establishment. It thus became an underground classic, taken to heart by iconoclasts of all stripes and, most especially, by lesbian audiences. Even by the standards of the twenty-first century, the honesty of the movie is startling when one considers its origins. The technical side of the filmmaking may be a little frayed, but the acting and direction have endured in their appeal across many decades, and the movie continues to attract attention as something more than an artifact (All Movie Guide).

Muy buena película, me encantó su fotografía de interiores. El DVDrip creo que fue publicado primeramente en Karagarga. Los subs que pones marlowe ya están sincronizados con el mismo.

Los subtítulos que yo traduje están sincronizados para un DVDRip de 1,17 GB. Por cierto, que dejé el título sin traducir, porque estuve dudando entre 'Chicas de uniforme' y 'Niñas de uniforme', que tampoco son tan niñas...

Desde hace años corre por Internet una copia de miserable aspect ratio y con subtítulos en inglés integrados que es la que prácticamente tiene todo el mundo. Finalmente, y después de engominarme los bigotes, puede en uno de los muchos servidores alemanes visitados, encontrar esta joya.

Los subs están publicados en el hilo de la versión VHSRip y en el subforo de Subtítulos terminados. Ni aquí ni en Opensubtitles se hace mención a una versión DVDRip de 1,17 Gb.
